The Conference
A New Quantum Era Begins
As the world celebrates the International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ 2025), proclaimed by the United Nations, IIT Kharagpur proudly marks its Platinum Jubilee, celebrating 75 years of excellence in education, research, and innovation.
To commemorate this landmark occasion, the Department of Physics, in collaboration with the Departments of Chemistry, Geology and Geophysics, Mathematics, and Education, is organizing the Platinum Jubilee Conference on Quantum Science and Technology. The conference will bring together leading scientists, researchers, industry experts, and students to discuss recent advances and emerging directions in quantum science and technology.
The rapid progress of quantum technologies—from computing, communication, sensing, and cryptography to quantum materials and photonics—is transforming science and society. Reflecting the interdisciplinary nature of this revolution, the conference will provide a vibrant platform for knowledge exchange, collaboration, and innovation through keynote lectures, invited talks, technical sessions, and poster presentations.
